
Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27 1977) is an former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. He is considered to be one of the most talented tight ends in history, and is currently the NFL's most successful tight end with regards to receiving yards and receptions by tight ends. Gonzalez also ranks third in receptions total. Gonzalez was selected in the 1st round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He spent his first 12 season playing for them. He was also a member the Atlanta Falcons for five of the final seasons. Since retiring in 2013, Gonzalez has been an analyst for football on NFL on Prime Video and was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez completed his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most of a tight-end and the second-highest in league history In addition, he was awarded six All-Pros on the first team. Gonzalez is well-known for his endurance and uncommon fumbling. He played in 272 games of the regular season and lost only two fumbles in 1,327 plays. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame In the year 2019.
